Over 25 years ago, a little company called Apple took on one of the largest corporations in the world…..Big Blue, IBM.  At the time, IBM was the computer behemoth, closely aligned with Intel and a still nascent Microsoft.  With the forces of the mega-cartel hammering at their gates, Apple played David to IBM’s Goliath.  On January 22, 1984, Super Bowl Sunday, Apple loaded its slingshot with an expensive Super Bowl television advertisement aimed directly at IBM, and the rest is history.

 

Oh, how the world has changed. This coming Super Bowl Sunday, once mighty Motorola, more Rip Van Winkle or Phoenix rising from the ashes than David, loading up the old slingshot and aiming its stones at David turned Goliath… Apple.
